Sweet relief brought by Snake & Jet’s Amazing Bullit Band

Maybe I have not been listening in the right places but outside of Tame Impala’s “Elephant”, off the upcoming album, there have been very few songs so far this year that have really reached out and grabbed me. However, today, listening to KEXP Presents Music That Matters Podcast: Vol. 317 – Made in Denmark, my musical dry spell ended!

My newest love at first listen is Snake & Jet’s Amazing Bullit Band. The single, “Black Egg” is what brought me to the band and right now as I type this I am listening to the full album, Stuff That Rotates, I am discovering that this song is one among many gems on the album. They have this cool, fun, laid back rock feel that is reminiscent of The Dandy Warhol’s. The songs are catchy but in an organic way with undertones of psychedelic garage pop. Who could ask for more really?
